| Newspapers include twelve issues of the first newspaper Posada worked for in Mexico City,
La Patria Ilustrada (1888-1889). The careful realism of these illustrations are in great contrast to the hysterical surrealism Posada was producing
ten years later. There are individual issues of four other newspapers,
El diabolito bromista,
Guacamaya,
Gil Blas, and
La idea del siglo. There are also six issues of
Gaceta Callejera, the newspaper Vanegas Arroyo published. (Note: These and the issue of
Gil Blas are in the broadside format, and so are not stored with the folding newspapers.)
