Scope and Content of Collection

Jean Berckmans is little known, beyond the drawings in this collection, which were made while he was a student, probably at the Ecole Saint Luc in Schaarbeek, Belgium.

Drawings are colored renderings and sepia prints and include studies of churches, hospital, houses, sports buildings, a stockmarket (bourse), a working man's club, and furniture. Some drawings are undated.
