INVENTORY OF THE WALTER HORN PAPERS, 1917-1989
Series II. Photographs, ca. 1929-1989 8.7 lin. ft. 37 ring binders ca. 4500 photo.
These photographs were taken by Horn, other scholars, and professional photographers. They show existing European timber structures and buildings undergoing reconstruction, while also documenting buildings which have since been destroyed. A large portion of the series comprises close-ups of architectural details such as timber joints, roof support systems, and columns. Most photographs are black and white, and include identifying captions or annotations.
