Newhall (Beaumont and Nancy) Papers
Series IV. Beaumont Newhall writings, 1925-1993 12 lin. ft.
Newhall's writings, in published and manuscript form are arranged chronologically. The numerous articles, books and reviews span seven decades, and are in the form of clippings and typescripts. Most of the writings are about photography, but also included are other pieces such as early short stories, and essays on other topics, such as painting or ship model repair. Approximately two linear feet of this series is devoted to his last publication, Focus: Memoirs of a life in photography.
Arranged in two subseries: Stories, articles and books, arranged chronologically; and files relating to Focus.
