Most letters are with editors and scholars and concern Olschki's work. A few letters are related to his dismissal from the University of Heidelberg in 1932. Other letters and documents concern the University of California, Berkeley and its faculty loyalty oath requirement. Some personal letters offer Olschki congratulations and birthday greetings. Olschki's letters to Paul Kristeller are photocopies.
