Series I. Europe 948.0 items
Photographs of European sites and buildings. Titles are from printed and handwritten captions. Titles in brackets were supplied by the cataloger. Cutter numbers were supplied by the cataloger. Unless otherwise indicated, the photographs are albumen prints. The unit of measurement is centimeters, height x width.

Arrangement
The material is organized by Cutter number: the first segment of the number indicates continent (Europe), the next indicates country. Within a country items are organized alphabetically by city/site. The last segment of the Cutter number is the item number. These numbers refer to items or sheets and not always individual photographs; some items contain several photographs. Example: E85.G3.56 = Europe, Germany, item 56.
