Series III. Correspondence by topic, 1952-1967 ca. 100 items
This series contains two groups of correspondence organized by topic.
The first group consists of ca. 22 items of correspondence of Agnes and Ernst Renger-Patzsch related to the sale of Albert Renger-Patzsch's photographic estate. Letters between Agnes Renger-Patzsch and Helmut Gernsheim concern Gernsheim's efforts to sell the estate to the University of Texas.
The second group comprises ca. 80 items of correspondence of Albert Renger-Patzsch related to protection and preservation of the natural environment in Soest and the Möhnesee region.

1 business letter (on 3 leaves) to Agnes R.P. from the director of the firm C. H. Boehringer Sohn, Siegfried Bene, concerning the estate of Renger-Patzsch, including copyright issues.

2 items: a letter to Agnes R.P. signed "Bi", and an envelope. On letterhead of Ford-Werke AG. in Köln-Niehl. With a mention of Helmut Gernsheim, Hoya, Walter Boje, and Henner.

10 items (ca 20 leaves). The letters provide insight into the conflict between Agnes R.P. and Helmut Gernsheim caused by Agnes R.P.'s refusal to sell R.P.'s photographs to the University of Texas. Included are 5 copies of a letter by Gernsheim and 2 copies of a letter by Agnes R.P.

9 items (20 leaves): professional correspondence between Ernst Renger-Patzsch and Walter Boje. With a mention of Helmut Gernsheim. Included is a copy of a letter from Albert R.P. to Walter Boje from March 30, 1966, 3 lists of negatives, and one list of photographs.
16 5-7 Landscape [ Landschaft], 1952-1953
Ca. 80 items (or 111 leaves). R.P. expresses his protest against cutting trees and replacing them with commercial advertisements, such as Cola Cola ads. He corresponds with several city and regional officials and institutions, mainly Gustav Wolf and F. Runge, the association Ruhrtalsperrenverein, and several mainly local newspapers. Also included are typescripts and offprints containing articles by R.P. and Hugo Kükelhaus, one letter by Wilhelm Lienenkämper, and letters by the industrialist and art collector Adalbert Colsman and by Herbert Kayser from Wuragrohr GmbH. Arranged chronologically by date. [Other correspondence with Gustav Wolf is also filed in Box 15, F.3.]
