Finding aid for the Records of the CIAM Belgian Section, 1928-1958 (bulk 1934-1958)
Series II. Handwritten notes, 1938-ca. 1956 3.0 folder(s)
This small series contains handwritten drafts, lists, sketches, envelopes, bills and other incidental notes which cannot be identified as rough drafts for correspondence or documents located elsewhere in this collection, or lacking strong relation to such documents. The great majority of these notes are in Paul Fitschy's hand. Notable are the two sets of notes for the preparatory meeting in Brussels for CIAM VI, Liège, 1938 July 10; the Paris CIAM council meeting notes preparatory to CIAM X, 1954 June 30; and the subsequent CIRPAC meeting notes, 1955 July 4. All of these lack official typed minutes in this collection (though the 1938 July 10 meeting is briefly summarized in the CIAM Bulletin d'information bibliographique, Series III. Box 6 f. 3). Handwritten notes which can be strongly linked to other documents have been filed together with them in the appropriate series; notes originally located in other series have been left there.
