Upon receiving this collection in 1985, the repository removed approximately 200 b&w photographs of modern art and integrated them into the twentieth-century european painting and sculpture section in the Photo Study collection. These photographs comprise a small archive of 20th century German and French art with particular emphasis on German Expressionism, Constructivism, and abstract art.
