In 1982, Anne Willan and Mark Cherniavsky purchased the Château du Feÿ near Villecien
in Burgundy as a family retreat. A large château dating primarily from the 17th
century, it became the site of La Varenne's educational programs beginning in 1988.
The school expanded its programs there furthermore after it closed its Paris location
in 1990. The school's records at Le Feÿ consist of administrative files, a guestbook,
promotional materials, bulletins, photographs documenting the school's premises and
its staff, and electronic records. The series comprises CDs and DVDs containing image
files. Software formats were identified using a DROID (Digital Record Object
IDentification) report from information recorded in the PRONOM technical registry. All
dates refer to last modified dates of files.
