Series II. Writings, 1966-2011
5.88 Linear
Feet
(14 boxes)
|
Series II is comprised of Nemser's writings. Nemser's writing includes draft
typescripts, published pieces, lectures, conference papers and clippings. Her writing
was published in newspapers and periodicals such as Arts Magazine,
Art in America, Artforum, Art Journal.
While the bulk of Nemser's writing was art criticism she also wrote short stories, full
length novels, a memoir, and scripts for plays and television programs. Some works are
cowritten by Nemser and her daughter, Catherine. This series also includes other
materials related to her writings, such as proposals, royalty reports, correspondence
including permission requests, letters of interest and rejection from editors, press
materials, slides and notes.
|
Arrangement |
This series is arranged in alphabetical order by title of work or publication name when
identified. Titles were taken from the work, or in the cases of untitled works, from the
folders in which they were originally housed. Assorted and unidentified material is at
the end. The arrangement reflects Nemser's original order.
