Unfiled is arranged into two sections: assorted research materials; and manuscripts, scrapbooks, and books.
Assorted research materials, 1806, 1924-1929, 1948-1958, 1967-2004, undated
Includes clippings, ephemera, periodicals, postcards, handwritten notes, catalogs, hand- and typewritten manuscripts and manuscript pages, and a photocopied book. Some of these materials appear to have been actively used in research for projects.

Includes clippings, ephemera, and periodicals originally found in a box labeled Beuys; however, none of the materials references Joseph Beuys specifically. Some of the clippings contain handwritten annotations.
3499 #2, 1924-1929, 1948-1955, 1995, undated
Contains materials referencing various projects; the bulk of the material is possibly associated with Monte Verità, including mediumistic drawings, photographs, handwritten and typewritten manuscript materials, some of which mention Monte Verità, and printed matter concerning Paul Evertz, Karl Buschhüter, Federico Kähr, Emil Ludwig, and Rudolf Laban. Also includes items concerning the Venice Biennale; 100 Jahre Kino; the Max Beckmann Prize; an exhibition, Phénomène Swatch; Automobility; Etienne-Martin; possibly Gesamtkunstwerk; and materials found in a box labeled "Vis CH" [Visionary Switzerland].

Folders 1-4 contain items found together including clippings, many concerning literature and other arts; articles; postcards; handwritten notes, including Post-it notes; a photocopied book (Ellic Howe: Astrology and Psychological Warfare during World War II, 1972); and ephemera. Folders 5-6 contain clippings, articles, handwritten notes, photographs, stickers, and ephemera found together.
3501 #4, 1806, 1956-1958, 1974-1992, 2000-2004, undated
Materials in folders 1-4 were found loose among books on Szeemann's bookshelves. Items in folder 1 were found in a section concerning artist Hermann Nitsch; typewritten manuscript materials reference Ritter Edler, Adolf Wölfli, Theodor Spoerri, and exhibitions about schizophrenia and psychiatry. Materials in Folders 2-4, including postcards, booklets, cigar bands, clippings, catalogs of posters, and a brief manuscript by Anna Lauwaert, were found together, and their original order has been retained. Folders in Folder [?], though empty, have handwritten text on them, some of it personal or project names including: "Attitudes," "Kunsthalle," "Siegfried," "Zero," "Marti," "Olbrich," "C. Megert," and "Katalog." Some items include handwritten notes.

Contains loose, typewritten manuscripts, including Der Kurarzt and Alphonse de Lamartine, Dichter und Edelman by Olga Taxis-Bordogna; also contains labels found with items.
3504 Manuscript materials, scrapbooks, and book, 1924, approximately 1954-1956
Includes a typewritten manuscript from Minusio (Ticino) dated 1924 and unidentifed typewritten manuscript pages from approximately 1955 found within an envelope labeled Paul; these items were found with materials concerning Monte Verità in Box 267. Also includes book by H. Zikel, Die Gefühlskälte der Frauen: Aerztliche Ratschläge und Beobachtungen aud dem Leben, originally found with materials concerning the project Einleuchten: Will, Vorstel und Simul in HH. Also includes two scrapbooks of Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands (when she was princess), one with her photograph and a cut-out of the text "Beatrix" affixed to its cover; and the other featuring the same photograph, a Woody van Amen stamp, and the text, "[?] Prinsessen schrift van Hanneke Hoogeweij 1956" handwritten on front cover.
3505A Unidentified manuscript and scrapbooks, undated
Typewritten 269-page manuscript originally found in hanging folder with label on front: "Meine liebe Familie I.II"; first page of manuscript missing. Manuscript contains handwritten annotations; those in blue are probably Szeemann's notes. Also includes three pages with crossed-out, handwritten notes found with the manuscript.
