This series consists predominantly of offprints from scholarly art magazines, but complete issues and a few small monographic
publications are also present. Some of the articles are annotated by Geissler and some bear dedications from the authors to
Geissler. Occasionally inserted are letters Geissler received from the authors, and his notes. There are four topical groups:
Art in Bavaria circa 1600; Art under Emperor Rudolf II of Austria; Mannerism and Drawing; and Artists. The titles are derived
from Geissler's original labels in German: Bayerische Kunst um 1660; Rudolfinische Kunst; Weiteres zum Manierismus und zur
Zeichenkunst; and Künstler.

Geissler's original grouping by topic is preserved. Within each group offprints from periodicals are listed by title; offprints
from books and manuscripts are listed under the name of the author.
