Series IX comprises material offering a record of Sandler's life as a New York art critic, from the appointment books noting dinners and receptions to clippings about Sandler at such events. A highlight is a long interview with Sandler about his perception of art movements and schools from 1950-1970, especially in relation to the journal Artforum.
